The mission of the Hub for Diverse Abilities is to serve as an innovative center providing community-wide education, connecting families and individuals to services and resources, and advocating for acceptance and understanding of autism and neurodiversity.
The Hub is open to all community members throughout the region and provides resources at no cost. We encourage in-person visitors as well as email and phone inquiries to learn more about our resources and services.
Hub Resources & Services
All resources and services are available to the community free of charge.
- Lending library of books and materialson a variety of topics, such as social skills, occupational opportunities, advocacy, visual supports, and more.
- Lending library of sensory materials, such as ShoeboxTasks®, AbleNet sensory aid technologies, and other sensory and/or weight materials.
- Make-and-Take materials, which are customizable resources that can be crafted in the Hub and taken home for personal use. Make-and-Takes can be used in a variety of settings such as the home or classroom and can help teach communication techniques, schedule building, toileting and hygiene skills, and more.
- Nutrition assistance in common issues such as 1) gluten intolerance and other conditions, 2) learning how to cook and/or eat independently, and 3) ChooseMyPlate materials to take home for personal use.
- Resource navigation assistance.
- Individualized Educational Program (IEP) assistance.
- Family connection, guidance, and advocacy.
